Community (& Movement?) Needs

What are, (if any) the needs do we have/issues not being addressed in the community that we need to take a look at? An old Tony Robbins quote “you’ve got to see it as it is, but see it better than it is” comes to mind. So here’s my take (as of August 2024).

  1. While it’s necessary, something more than just a LinkedIn for writing posts, something like WhatsApp Groups or Zoom Calls to get organized into groups to have weekly or monthly chats to learn and practice Integral (&/or from other sources) relationship skills (Green?) and interpersonal support. Some of us may be setting physical boundaries with our families or origin and need something to replace that.

Nomali akki has physical meetups in Boulder but of course everyone who isn’t there can’t make it. I love the study group I’m currently in with Charles because it gives me the opportunity to discuss the material & connect with others. This could also be a cool way to practice Sociocracy/Holacracy concepts with something like UseCandor.

if you are not in a metropolitan area or Boulder it is hard to find people who would like to establish a local integral book/discussion group. I think your suggestions are good. If we could get two or three more people, many once a month we could have a virtual session?

Yes, of course meeting physically would be difficult unless at an Integral event but it should be easy to try and meet at least once a month online in some way or in a WhatsApp group or something, anything to build and maintain connections.

Sounds like a good Idea. Perhaps one person could lead the group each week whether they were talking about one of the quadrants or a line of intelligence or how they use integral in their daily life, etc. . and then there could be a group discussion. Something is better than nothing.

Back in the day I was on some zoom calls for a while, it was great. It’s a much stronger more supportive LL space than in a text based forum and hit a need where many integral folks aren’t in physical proximity to one another.

I think it just takes a little organising.
