Kimberley Theresa Lafferty and Jac O’Keeffe explore the critical but often overlooked role of ethics in the spiritual path, challenging the assumption that awakening alone leads to maturity. Through personal stories, developmental insight, and hard-earned wisdom, they reveal how true spiritual integrity requires psychological integration, relational accountability, and a lifelong commitment to ethical embodiment.
Great topic, worth a listen (1:16:22). First half hour was taken up mostly by Jac’s personal journey. It took a full hour to get to the question, “does some sort of spiritual awakening experience automatically imbue one with higher ethical standards?” and the resounding “no.”
Sex, one of the big markers in the spiritual/ethics realm, was unfortunately (in my view), only briefly discussed toward the end. The ASI, Association for Spiritual Integrity – Transforming the paradigm of spiritual leadership., was discussed. New to this listener. Good stuff! Thanks!
