Orangish-Green Is Often Misunderstood

I’d like to propose a stage that could help us to understand an important group of people who may feel embattled and misunderstood.

Green is a stage where we accept that there are multiple valuable, coherent narratives about the world. This stage is often developed in contrast to the more universalist ambitions of the modernist orange meta-narrative. Perhaps there is a form of green that acknowledges that there is no single valid meta-narrative while simply preferring the modernist narrative in a pragmatic, tolerant way. These individuals have the structures of the green stage, they simply express them with an emphases on the typical content associated with orange. Someone like Steven Pinker is a good example of an orangish-green.
