On the serious note, applying moral (& emotional?) intelligence to dispel the elitist views/perception of 2nd/3rd tier and show that people can get “There”/are already “There” but also don’t have to be anywhere but where they are.

But then when we do States with the Wilber-Combs Lattice, we need it perpendicular - there’s up again. Argh.
For this ironic Flatland view of Levels, maybe we could see them like a stack of coins. We all start with 0, and we can go up to infinity at any Level, getting more “sufficient” at each Level; what would formerly be called “horizontal” development.
I’m not sure how mad people get about the “stages” word, but definitely avoid saying “hierarchy” unless you’re ready to throw down with sensitive pluralism.
An interesting question, indeed, how to present developmental levels in the most skillful way possible.

A graphic designer could probably greatly improve these representations. @namal.de_silva, perhaps you might also be interested in Peter Merry’s work on Volution, where he depicts the levels of development as a torus, which communicates the interconnected nature of these perspectives on reality quite beautifully.
