I’ve been following UBI (Universal Basic Income) advocate Scott Santens for a little bit now and he has some big news:

Thanks for this post, Namal. I see some form of UBI as inevitable, eventually. But as always, the devil (and god) will be in the details. How will we structure the incentives to encourage people to contribute when they don’t necessarily have to? And that’s just one of the quandaries.

Not my area of expertise. But I’m so glad that other people are forging ahead on this front.

You’re welcome Karen. I believe everyone contributes 7% of their income, and also gets the average payout. On the bigger view it will be an emergent intermediary solution while integrating what will happen with wider Integral development, and (based on some evidence (Bashar)+ intuition>) Open Contact and that realm of possibilities.
