I recently shared a song that I finished about two years ago, but which I first started many years before that.
At the time I was writing it, I was wrestling with questions of meaning, responsibility, and the pull of spiritual reassurance - especially the idea that “all is well,” and how easily that can slide into bypassing pain for people and their not engaging in important activism.
