An attempt to describe the stages of development using a poetry
The pursuit
Life is a journey full of pursuits
If you don’t pursue you are considered a destitute
A newborn baby born with a sense of vanity
Tries to pursue a physical identity
A toddler experiences a sense of immense joy
When he pursues his most cherished toy
Growing up he relinquishes his desire for toys
And pursues to find solace in the company of other boys
As an adolescent to stand out from the rest
He pursues academic and professional success and tries to be the best
In his relentless drive for success, when he realises it’s too late
He goes out in pursuit of an ideal mate
When finally he thinks everything in the universe is by his side
Life takes him on an emotional roller coaster ride
Tormented and Tortured by the turmoils of the external world
He pursues to find his authentic self in the depths of his inner world
Discovering his authentic self he experiences a sense of immense freedom
But after a few years of exploring his interior world , he experiences boredom
So in order to fill this deep psychospiritual hole
He transcends his seperate self sense and pursues to be one with the whole
From womb to tomb . Life is a journey full of pursuits
